If you opened the WPT Global lobby lately and thought, “When did all these new tournament names show up?” — you are not imagining things. Since May 2026 the MTT schedule has been expanding fast: Mega Hour, Daily Crown, and the new Grand Prix Europe Opener series are all live.

WPT Global summer 2026 tournament schedule

This is not a copy-paste of the official schedule (those numbers change). It is a practical guide to what each series is for, who it suits, and how to fit it into a sensible bankroll plan.

Mega Hour: hourly micro-stakes MTTs with serious guarantees

Mega Hour launched in mid-May 2026. According to PokerNews, the series runs 16 events per day from roughly 12:05 to 00:05 UTC+8, with combined daily guarantees over ¥500,000.

DetailNumbers
Buy-in range¥11 – ¥55 (avg ~¥30)
Daily total GTD¥500,000+
Top single GTD¥60,000 (¥55 Mystery Big Game, 19:05 UTC+8)
FormatsNLH, PKO, Mystery Bounty

Buy-ins are small — often a few dollars equivalent — but volume adds up fast if you fire into every hourly event you see.

Finding Mega Hour in the lobby

There is no dedicated Mega Hour tab yet (as of late May). Search “MEGA” under the MTT tab. Some events cluster under the WPT Asia section depending on your client region.

For evening grinders in UTC+8, the 19:05 Mystery Big Game (highest GTD) and 21:05 Late Night Mystery (¥11 buy-in) are reasonable anchors — two events and you are done before midnight.

Daily Crown: 24/7 hourly action with a dedicated lobby tab

Daily Crown has been running since early 2026, with 20+ hourly events starting at :05 past each hour. Buy-ins run from $1.10 to $330, guarantees from $70 to $50,000, and formats include PKO, Mystery Bounty, and standard NLH.

Look for the “WPT Daily Crown” tab in the lobby — much easier to navigate than Mega Hour.

Notable events from the current schedule (Pokerfuse):

Event (CET)Buy-inGTD
Lucky Mystery Bounty 16:05$55$25,000
Night Relay 16:30$25$15,000
Big Special 17:05$110$10,000
Deep Thrill 21:05$5.50 / $55$300 / $1,500

Convert CET to your local time before locking in a session. Daily Crown skews toward late-evening / overnight slots for players in East Asia — plan accordingly.

Grand Prix Europe Opener: deep-stack Sunday flagships

In early June 2026, WPT Global added two Grand Prix Europe Opener events to the Sunday schedule (PokerListings):

EventBuy-inGTDStarting stackBlind levels
Main$220$10,00050,000 (200 BB)12 min
Mini$22$5,00050,000 (200 BB)10 min

Both start Sundays at 17:05 UTC (~6 hours of deep-stack play). The $220 event has $22 satellites running hourly, and both allow 10 re-entries.

These are built for serious grinders who want structure over turbo chaos — 200 BB deep with 10–12 minute levels is a very different game from a 15-minute push/fold turbo.

Bankroll tips: how to mix the three series

Starting out (~$80–$150 bankroll):

Stick to Mega Hour ¥11 events first. Five buy-ins might cost under $10 total — cheaper than blowing a stack at a cash table while you learn blind-level pressure. Keep each buy-in under 1–2% of your roll.

Mid-stakes grinders ($500+):

Add Daily Crown $55 Lucky Mystery Bounty ($25K GTD) and Mega Hour ¥55 Mystery Big Game to your regular rotation. Field sizes are usually healthy and the format mix keeps things interesting.

Weekend shot-taking:

Pair weekend freerolls with $22 Grand Prix satellites — use house money to chase a $220 main event seat instead of dipping into your core roll.

Schedules change. WPT Global can adjust guarantees, times, and re-entry limits without notice. Always confirm details in the client before registering.
