Can you change your nickname on WPT Global? Nickname rules and avatars

On WPT Global, once your nickname is set you can’t change it yourself. App version 1.5.19 has no option to edit it, so think it over before you pick one. Your avatar, on the other hand, can be changed anytime.

  • 2 to 10 characters long.
  • Can’t be blank.
  • If it doesn’t meet the rules, you’ll see Invalid nickname, try 2-10 characters or letters.

App version 1.5.19 has no button to change your nickname. If you need a change (for example, you made a typo), your only option is to ask support. Whether and how it can be changed is up to them.

Your nickname shows up at your table seat, in tournament player lists (the Players tab), in the table stats (Game Log) and elsewhere. Every other player can see it.

  • Don’t use your real name, birthday, phone number or anything that could identify you.
  • Don’t reuse the username you have on other sites or social media, so others can’t connect how you play in different places.

On your profile, tap your avatar and choose Set Avatar:

  • Upload a photo: pick an image from your phone’s gallery. Uploading... means it’s uploading.
  • Built-in avatar: choose one of the avatars that come with the app.

Like your nickname, your avatar is visible to all players, so we don’t recommend using a photo of yourself.
