What is Rabbit Hunt? See the board cards that weren't dealt on WPT Global
Rabbit Hunt lets you see the board cards that would have been dealt after a hand ends early. For example, if you fold on the turn and wonder what the river would have been, you can use it to reveal it. It doesn’t change who won. It just shows what would have happened if play had continued.
Where to find it
Section titled “Where to find it”Rabbit Hunt is in hand review (Game records):
- Open hand review at the table and find the hand you just played.
- Eligible hands have a
Rabbit Huntbutton with the cost shown next to it. - Tap it. The screen shows
You have initiated "Rabbit hunt",this feature is only visible to you, meaning only you can see the result.
Which hands are eligible
Section titled “Which hands are eligible”Not every hand has the button. A hand must meet all of these:
- Recent: only the last few hands you just played. Older hands can’t be rabbit hunted.
- You played in it: if you weren’t dealt into the hand, there’s no button.
- The board wasn’t completed: not all five board cards had been dealt when the hand ended. If the hand went to the river, there’s nothing to reveal.
One street at a time
Section titled “One street at a time”Rabbit Hunt reveals one street per tap, up to three times:
| Hand ended | One tap reveals |
|---|---|
| Preflop | The flop (three cards) |
| On the flop | The turn |
| On the turn | The river |
To see all five cards, keep tapping until you reach the river.
The WPT Global website describes Rabbit Hunt as a cash game feature you use “for a small fee.” The button shows how much this reveal costs. The price is set by the table, and each street may cost a different amount. Check the number before you tap, and don’t tap if you don’t want to spend.
The right mindset for Rabbit Hunt
Section titled “The right mindset for Rabbit Hunt”Seeing that you “would have hit” if you’d called is frustrating, but the odds of that card coming were already calculable when you made your decision. Whether a fold was right depends on the pot odds at the time, not on the result.
What does Rabbit Hunt mean?
In poker, rabbit hunting means revealing the board cards that would have come after a hand ends early (for example, when someone folds), to see what would have happened if play had continued. It doesn't change the result of the hand. It's purely for curiosity.
Does Rabbit Hunt cost money?
It may. The button shows the cost of that reveal. The amount is set by the table, can differ from street to street, and may also be free. Check the number before you tap.
Why don't some hands have a Rabbit Hunt button?
It only appears for eligible hands. The hand must be one of your most recent ones, you must have played in it, and the board must not have been fully dealt when it ended. If all five board cards were dealt, or the hand is too old, there's no button.
If I use Rabbit Hunt, can other players see it?
No. The app says this feature is only visible to you. Only you see the revealed cards.
For the other features in hand review (Replay, Report and more), see Hand history and table stats. For other table buttons, see the UI glossary.
