How to show your cards on WPT Global: showing, auto muck and Reveal Hands

On WPT Global, you show your cards by tapping your own hole cards. Whether a losing hand gets shown at showdown depends on the table’s Auto muck rule. There’s also a feature many players don’t know about: at some tables you can pay to reveal opponents’ mucked cards after a hand.

If you want the whole table to see your cards (say you folded a strong hand and want to show it, or want an opponent to know you weren’t bluffing):

  1. Tap one of your hole cards. An eye icon appears on it.
  2. Tap both cards to show both, or only the one you want to show.
  3. Tap again to cancel.
  4. When the hand ends, cards with the eye icon are shown to the whole table.

Pace fast-fold tables don’t have this feature, because you’ve already been moved to the next table after folding.

To muck is to throw your cards away without showing them. If you lose at showdown and muck, your opponent never learns what you had.

On WPT Global, Auto muck is a table rule, not a personal setting:

  • Tables with auto muck on: the losing player at showdown is mucked automatically, so nobody sees their hand.
  • Tables with it off: cards are shown at showdown according to the rules.

App version 1.5.19 has no option for players to change this. If you want your losing hand to be seen, show it yourself with the eye icon described above.

When you see Muck next to a player’s avatar, it means their hand was mucked.

Some tables offer Reveal Hands: after a hand ends, a button showing a price appears, and tapping it reveals other players’ hole cards that weren’t shown.

  • The revealed cards are visible only to you. The screen says Other Players' Hole Cards Are Just Visible For You.
  • The button only appears for a short time after the hand ends (about 10 seconds). Miss it and it’s gone.
  • The price is set by the table and may change after you use it.
  • Hand review (Game records) has a similar Reveal Hands option. See Hand history and table stats.

It’s the only way to find out what an opponent actually held in a given hand. But it costs money and not every hand is worth it. Save it for key hands where you really want to figure out how an opponent plays.

What does muck mean?

To muck is to throw your cards away without showing them. The losing player at showdown can muck to keep their hand hidden, and folded cards also go into the muck.

Can I turn auto muck on or off myself?

No. Auto muck is a table rule. At tables where it's on, the losing player at showdown mucks automatically without showing. At tables where it's off, cards are shown at showdown according to the rules. App version 1.5.19 has no option for players to change it.

Can I show my cards to the table after folding?

Yes. Tap your own hole cards. An eye icon on a card means it will be shown, and it's revealed to the whole table when the hand ends. Tap both to show both, or just one to show only that card.

What is Reveal Hands?

After a hand ends, some tables show a Reveal Hands button that lets you see opponents' cards that weren't shown. Only you can see them. The button shows the cost and is only available for a short time after the hand.

For other table buttons, see the UI glossary.
