WPT Global High Hand Jackpot rules: winning hands and how the pool is funded
The Jackpot at WPT Global tables is officially called the High Hand Jackpot. A small amount is taken from bigger pots, and when someone makes four of a kind, a straight flush, or a royal flush using both hole cards, they win a percentage of the pool. The current jackpot amount is shown at the top of the table.
The website states that the High Hand Jackpot runs at all standard NLHE cash tables, and each buy-in level has its own pool.
How the pool builds up
Section titled “How the pool builds up”The jackpot panel shows a rule in this format:
When interest reaches 20BB per hand, 1BB will be added to the pot. (3BB at most)
(The numbers are just an example.)
This means when a hand’s profit reaches 20 big blinds, 1 big blind goes into the jackpot, up to a maximum of 3 big blinds per hand. The website’s rule says the same: “players who win 20 big blinds or more contribute 1 big blind to the pool.” Here, “interest” refers to the profit from the hand. Smaller pots aren’t raked for the jackpot.
Each blind level’s jackpot builds up separately. 1/2 Level Jackpot on screen means the jackpot for the 1/2 blind level. Lower and higher levels are tracked separately, and the panel shows the amount for your table’s level.
Which hands win
Section titled “Which hands win”| Hand |
|---|
Royal flush |
Straight flush |
Four of a kind |
Each hand has a prize ratio (Prize ratio). According to the website’s rules:
| Hand | Share of that level’s pool |
|---|---|
| Royal flush | 20% |
| Straight flush | 10% |
| Four of a kind | 2% |
A few conditions to keep in mind:
- Both hole cards must play. Quads on the board, or a straight flush that uses only one of your hole cards, don’t count.
- When you hit, the jackpot is paid out automatically and the bonus goes straight to your account.
- The platform takes a 10% administration fee from the payout.
Ratios and conditions may change with promotions. The Rules tab in the panel shows the current rules.
When someone hits, the whole table sees a notification like:
Congratulate Player X Hit Four of a kind Jackpot In 1/2 Level And Receive Reward: 150

What hands win the WPT Global jackpot?
According to the website's rules, four of a kind wins 2% of that level's pool, a straight flush 10%, and a royal flush 20%, and both of your hole cards must play.
Where does the jackpot money come from?
It's taken from bigger pots. The website's rule is that when a player wins 20 big blinds or more in a hand, 1 big blind goes into the jackpot.
Is the jackpot the same at every stake level?
No. Each blind level builds its own jackpot. Lower-stakes and higher-stakes pools are tracked separately, and the panel shows the amount for your table's level.
Does WPT Global have a bad beat jackpot?
The jackpot at the tables is a High Hand Jackpot. You win it by making a big hand using both hole cards, which is a different mechanism from a bad beat jackpot, where you win by losing with a big hand. If the platform runs a separate bad beat promotion, it will be announced on the promotion page, and that promotion's rules apply.
