How to play Poker Flips: WPT Global's Cowboy vs. Bull betting game

Poker Flips is a betting side game inside WPT Global, not a poker table. Each round the system deals two Texas Hold’em hands, one to the Cowboy and one to the Bull. You bet on which side wins and what hand types appear, and winning bets pay out at their odds. You make no poker decisions; the result depends entirely on the deal.

Open it with the Poker Flips button in the lobby.

Poker Flips uses its own currency, Gold Coins:

  • When you open Poker Flips, your entire WPT Global balance converts to Gold Coins.
  • Daily exchange rate: $1 = X on screen shows that day’s rate.
  • Close your Poker Flips table before going back to the poker tables or the Casino. The app’s welcome screen specifically reminds you of this.

The rules page splits each round into three stages:

StageWhat happens
BettingThe Cowboy and the Bull each get two face-down cards, and you place bets in the betting area
ShowdownBetting closes, the community cards and both hands are revealed, and the higher hand wins
PaybackWinning bets are paid at their respective odds

Hands are compared using standard Texas Hold’em rules with a 52-card deck. See the hand rankings chart.

The betting area has three main categories, and you can bet on several at once:

1. Who wins (Cowboy / Bull wins, Tie)

Bet on the Cowboy winning, the Bull winning, or a tie.

2. Winning hand type (Winning Hands)

Bet on which type of hand the winner ends up with, in five groups:

GroupHand types
aHigh card, one pair
bTwo pair
cThree of a kind, straight, flush
dFull house
eFour of a kind, straight flush, royal flush

3. Either side’s hole cards (Anyone's Holdcards)

Bet on the combination of the Cowboy’s or the Bull’s two hole cards:

GroupHole cards
aSuited, Connector, Suited Connector
bA pair
cA pair of aces

Both sides’ hole cards count; if both sides hold the same combination, it counts only once.

Each bet has different odds: the rarer the outcome, the higher the payout. Check the game screen for the actual numbers. The rules page also lists a maximum payout per bet (it varies by odds tier); tap How to Play? to check before you bet.

  • Tables are split into Low-end Tables, Mid-level Tables and High-level Tables, which differ by minimum bet (Lowest Bet).
  • Poker Flips has its own leaderboard where you can compare yourself with Poker Flips players worldwide.
  • The rules page includes a Jackpot section; an extra prize triggers when its conditions are met.

Poker Flips is a game of chance. Over the long run the odds always favor the house, unlike poker tables where skill can beat other players. Treat it as entertainment, set a spending limit, and don’t chase losses with your poker bankroll.
